The same electricity grid
Sharing uses the existing electricity grid. Smart-meter availability and technical conditions are checked before sharing starts.
UNDERSTAND ENERGY SHARING
Across Brussels, people share the solar electricity they produce in surplus. BEES Energy organises that sharing between community members.
Solar panels first supply the building where they are installed.
Electricity not used on site can be shared with members consuming at the same time.
The usual supplier provides the electricity that energy sharing does not cover.

You keep a contract with your usual supplier. BEES Energy bills the shared portion; your supplier bills the rest.
Shared electricity costs include energy, management, grid charges and applicable taxes. The grid tariff depends on the sharing perimeter.
Generating and consuming at the same time makes sharing possible. When practical, shifting some electricity use to sunny hours can help make more use of this energy.
The shared portion varies with generation and members’ needs. It does not automatically cover all consumption.
