How the price is set
A rate decided together
The price of shared energy is decided by members in the assembly, to cover costs without making a profit at your expense.
What you still pay your supplier
For the energy you don't draw from the community, you keep your usual contract. BEES energy comes on top, not instead.
Where every cent goes
The price quoted by an electricity supplier always adds up three things: the price of the energy itself, the network fees, and the taxes. Here are ours.

We are working to bring this price down
A large part of what you pay is network fees: the cost of moving electricity between the roof that produces it and the socket that uses it. In Brussels these depend on the distance travelled, across four perimeters defined by the Region.
The further electricity travels, the more it costs. That is why, as the community grows, we are building smaller sharing cells: a few streets, a neighbourhood, a municipality. Less distance, lower network fees, a better price for you.
It is continuous work, and one of the reasons the community exists.

Do you have solar panels and receive green certificates? We will buy them from you, at a clear price, with no complicated steps on your side.
You tell us how many certificates you want to sell.
We confirm the buy-back price.
You get paid, with no further formalities.
