The data BEES Energy uses
This information describes the currently documented uses of data. The complete privacy notice is still being finalised with BEES Energy.
The website forms and member portal handle applications to join and event registrations.
- An application can include identity, contact details, address, meter information and tax declarations needed for the team’s review. It is stored in the BEES platform hosted on Cloudflare.
- Technical providers are involved: Cloudflare for hosting and platform services, and Mailchimp for the separate website newsletter subscription.
- The application form and footer newsletter are separate processes. Application files are accessible to authorised people in the BEES administration.
Your registration
Your email, meeting choice and optional name are stored in the BEES application hosted on Cloudflare and accessible only to authorised staff. Contact details are erased 90 days after the event. Registration does not create membership or a newsletter subscription. To access your data or request erasure: energy@bees-coop.be. Abuse verification uses Cloudflare Turnstile.
FAQ assistant
When you ask a question, its text and the last two exchanges are sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to prepare an answer from our public FAQ. Do not include personal data. The conversation stays in page memory and is cleared when you reload or choose “Clear conversation”. We do not save it in a BEES conversation database. Request counters, associated with a daily rotating hash of your IP address, limit abuse. The assistant cannot access member accounts.
The complete notice must still specify the controller, legal bases, retention periods by use, recipients and any transfers, and how to exercise rights. For a question about your application, contact energy@bees-coop.be.
